last friday night.

event: good charlotte cardiology tour.

bands: these kids wear crowns, this century, forever the sickest kids, good charlotte.

Friday march 11th was honestly the best night of my life. not only did i get to see my favourite band since I was 10, but it’s was just such a whilrwind of a day.

Last week was Canadian Music Week, and I was working the Film festival, and I had the joy of watchin a movie called “pickin’ and grinnin’ ” and sammy haggar’s film. I left the TIFF Bell Lightbox and headed over to the Pheonix for the show.

So as a little bit of a back story, I have liked Good Charlotte since I was in grade 4 or 5 and they have been my favourite band since then. They have probably gotten me through the hardest times of my life thus far and I am so grateful of that.

It had been 6 years since I had seen the band perform last, when they were on tour for The Chronicles of Life and Death  but not by choice. They had toured with Justin Timberlake and were on Bamboozle the other times I would have been able to see them, but the timing was just not right. So this show was very special to me. The show it’s self was amazing, but the best part of the whole thing was the fact that I met some really cool people at the show. I’ve never had a bad Good Charlotte experience.

The show to me was particularly amazing because it was Benji and Joel’s birthday, and they played mostly older songs. The songs that I grew up listening too, and it was a really sentimental moment.

I can’t even express how amazing of a time I had and how happy I was and still am. To add to an already amazing night, Benji did a DJ Set at Tattoo Rock Parlour, a local club here in Toronto, and I had been wanting to see him spin for the longest time. He did a really good job and I was really impressed.

All in all I can’t stress enough how amazing last friday night was, it’s most definitely one of the top ten moments in my life.

These guys will probably never know how grateful I am to have this band around. And that’s okay but I really love this band.
